Paediatrics

The medical specialty for the health and well-being of infants, children and adolescents.  This covers a wide range of health issues from growth and development, to medical conditions.  A review may be needed where a longer time is required to sort out a medical issue in depth and help to develop a management plan, or to rule out medical causes of learning issues.

Diagnosis

A careful history and examination followed by a diagnostic formulation.  Sometimes further testing may be required whether that be x-rays, hearing tests, blood tests etc or another opinion from another specialist or therapist.
